DoubleWide Debris Biography What do you get when you throw in a mix of classic rock, country, red dirt and blues? The answer: DoubleWide Debris, who have coined their musical style as Southern Illinois country fried rock. They are an Americana band influenced by a variety of artists in multiple genres such as Blackberry Smoke, The Heartless Bastards, Ray Wylie Hubbard, George Jones, Merle Haggard, Led Zeppelin and Buck Owens. DoubleWide Debris (DwD) was created in 2008 by vocalist, songwriter and guitarist Mark Chapman along with guitarist Carson Baker. They were joined by Mark’s son, Keith Chapman, on electric lead guitar. In 2009, the band added Traci Carter for lead vocals. Having a female lead with such unique vocals helped the band be distinctive. The band soon grew tired covering popular rock and country songs and decided to begin playing their own original music that they had been writing behind the scenes for years. They added bass and drums to complete the band.
